Surrounded by monumental tombs, majestic aqueducts and the remains of ancient villas, it will be like taking a trip back in time. The chaos of the Capital is long gone, and as we pedal we will arrive in front of an oasis of peace: Castel Gandolfo. Here, the medieval village, the view of the crystal-clear lake and the Papal Palace, summer residence of the Popes, will surprise you with its beauty and authenticity. Tickle your taste buds with typical local dishes during your lunch break, your guide will be able to recommend an ‘excellent Osteria if you prefer a traditional meal or other kiosks where you can enjoy more than a taste of authentic Castelli Romani products. We will return to Rome comfortably by train, leisurely scrolling through the photos of the wonderful experience we just had and enjoying the fullness of energy and vitality that these places have given us!

To reach us by public transport: Near the Colosseum or Circo Massimo metro, take bus 118 towards Villa dei Quintili, and get off at the Basilica di San Sebastiano stop. Here, your guide will welcome you and will lead you on foot to the rental point
👥 Groups and Tour Confirmation
- Minimum number of participants: The tour requires a minimum of 4 participants. If the number is not reached, an alternative date or a full refund will be offered.
- Maximum Group Size: The limit is set at 8 guests per guide to ensure a personalized experience. We can be flexible (1-2 extra guests) so as not to separate family/group bookings; the tour can still depart with fewer than 6 people.
Route, Safety, and Variations
- Route: Approximately 60% of the tour takes place on the historic Appia Antica. The route has been carefully selected. However, it is important to note that when traveling along the stretch connecting Via Appia to Lake Albano, it is inevitable that you will encounter traffic on the open road.
- Lunch Break: There will be a break for lunch. You will have the flexibility to choose and purchase local specialties; costs generally range from €20 and €30 per person.
- Route variations: In the event of celebrations, official events, or public demonstrations, the operator reserves the right to replace one or more highlights of the itinerary to ensure the safety of the group.
⚠️ Suitability, Experience, and Discretion
- Riding Experience: You must be able to ride a bicycle confidently.
- Test and Denial: A brief assessment test will be conducted prior to departure. The guide has the absolute right to refuse participation (without refund) to any guest deemed unsuitable due to insufficient driving skills or poor physical/mental condition.

- Age requirement to participate: Participants must be between 16 and 79 years of age.
- Free cancellation up to 24 hours before the start of the Tour.
- No refund if cancellation occurs within 24 hours before the start of the experience
